Thread: Girls Volleyball, WHERE!?!?!

I immediately thought of the Woodland Hills Rec Center on Shoup, just North of Ventura Blvd. I went to their website and found Volleyball info. It looks like Adult Rec League stuff, based in North Hollywood, but I'm sure they have information for Youth Volleyball. Give them a call - here's the link:

It's an interesting dichotomy.

I'll be the guy drooling over all the other girls on my daughter's college volleyball team while trying to beat the **** out of the other 50+ year old fathers that are drooling over my college-aged daughter.

And if you think that's all it'd take to offend me, salami, I'm disappointed. I thought you knew me better!!

I passed the question on to one of my former student workers who now coaches at Pomona Pitzer. I'll let you know if she has any ideas. I know La Verne and other universities have camps during the summer, and I'm sure there may be some out your way.

We had her first clinic today. MAJOR show of improvement with just the few hours of instruction and drills she ran. All the other girls were very supportive of her and gave her lots of encouragement. That was with club Supernova. She as another clinic next Saturday, and then starts at the YMCA in early October.

Dude...it's bad. At the clinic the other day, I was watching the older girls work and was impressed with their size and skill. The tallest one was damned near my height 6' 2"...a helluva hitter, too. I figured she was junior or senior high schooler.

Nope.
