    I agree 100%

Also, pay some movers to move your stuff for you. I used some guys from craigslist last month, they did a pretty good job and were pretty quick. Was a wise move.....

Oh for ****s sake TimeWarner cable...this is no way to make me forget how much I loved my DirecTv. So I get the install yesterday, yet I find, after the guy left, that the guide goes bye bye after 31/2 hours. So second guy comes this morning...and kills the whole deal instead of fixing the guide. So I have to change my entire plan for the day to go to the office and tell them i live at an address that does not exist in their database. So, 3 techs later, and countless boxes...I still have NO service. And I have a supervisor type coming tomorrow @ 8 AM...to redirect the cable in what I would kindly consider a waste of time. And I still do not have a screen in the kitchen, which is making the place about 30 degrees hotter than it needs to be and making work in here almost impossible. All this and I am still happy as a little girl. Moving sucks and **** happens...gotta roll with it.

I just went through this myself except for us it was the comcastic xfiinity experience. for us the install went ok, then we logged in online and saw our $35 bill was going to be $140 for some reason.... Anyway all fixed now.

Looks like all is sorted with Time/Warner. Jayzus what a hassle. I had a bad breakup with DirectV today. Serious, they kept asking why, was it something they did...I had to finally be firm and say goodbye. I need to spend a year in this place before I can petition the landlord for a dish. **** it anyway, T/W is sure cheaper and i need less channels anyway. I have too much crap to watch and things to do. Finally got my last screen...HOORAY!!!!! Drive to work and home has an extra 10-15 minutes on it. Now I have to start digging into the boxes and getting some real work done. Feel so disconnected. Gotta get my damned laptop back, this netbook is sorely testing my eyesite.

I'm only paying for 3-4 months...but everything I've ordered for the house will be in it on top of what I won't be using in this fleabag apartment...but will in the new house...

The latest additions to the storage locker...a Kings toaster and two bar lights (one each with the new and old school crowns)...the latter I found on ebay...

well, rather than go into details, I wasted a few hard-earned days off from work during a move to have their tech come over and install the cable. well, with no internet the whole time, I had no access to email which I specifically advised them about. guess what? they emailed me notices of cancellation all the while I was waiting for them to ****in show up at the house.

    happy now?

Time/Warner is soooooooo not Directv. High Def seems to be an afterthought, the onDemand feature well, not so good. It's a comedown. No NFL sunday ticket, but at least I get NHL. They are pretty low rent though. I had to go to the local office and let them know that I had an address they could not recognize. The girl said...'we do not have that address in our system' and I said, 'well i live there so...'

It was a good 10 minutes before she said another word. Look, I love my new place. ****ty dvr/cable/whatever be damned.
