I've been wanting to get a tattoo, but unsure of what to get.
Show me your cool tattoos or suggestions.

Biggest suggestion I have is for you to get what you really want and what means the most to you. Buzzkill of an answer, I know, but for me an idea has to mean something to me before I consider getting it permanently drilled in. And even then I'll talk to my buddies about my idea and think about it some more. We can all show you our designs and what they mean (if anything at all), but what should really matter is what you want. The goalie mask I have on my arm probably has no bearing on what you may want.

Of course, there are those that get tattoos because they just dig the art. If that's your case just go with whatever design speaks to you the most. Just remember that (and I hate to say this because everyone friggin' says it) it's gonna be with you forever.

I have four right now with more planned for the future. The first one I got, which is basically 2 tattoos that make up one large one is a goalie mask with crossed goal sticks in the fashion of a skull and crossbones. Around it is a netting design that's a bit Celtic (no Celtic blood in me, tho) with storm clouds and lightning bolts in the background. That's all on my right arm. On my left arm is a design I drew in honor of my dog that passed away. It's an ambigram that spells her name and it's kinda in the shape of an infinity sign. To the side of that are two playing cards (jack and king) to represent my initials. On my right side is a spiral staircase.

What does the spiral staircase represent? Do you know that animals (which we've come across in our lifetime) help usher us to the other side when we pass away? They sometimes guide us in spirit throughout our lifetime. What was her name?
