1. that's a tough one, i can't think of one that crosses genres well and is covered well by a bunch of people who've attempted it. i can think of tons of covers that i love though. hrm... i'll go with "at last". i like glenn miller and etta james' covers as well as a few of the modern takes. never? that's a tough one also. i think sometimes a lousy song can be made fun when a band i like covers the song. like, i don't care for kelly clarkson, but i've heard soem fun covers of "since u been gone". i guess i'll go with that rebecca black "friday" song. that isn't just lousy, it's stupid.
2. i hardly ever remember my dreams. the only time i have was when i was pregnant (increase in blood flow to the brain) and the night i had absinthe and may've mixed in an alcoholic drink or two as well. when i was pregnant, i never had nightmares, so i can only still remember the one i had after the absinthe. i usually wake up thinking whatever happened in my dream is still going on in real conscious life. if it involves my husband, i ask him what's going on and then he reassures me.
3. i don't watch horror movies. i'm too visual to not let it bother me. this is why i'll never watch human centipede. :)

1) Probably Turn the Page, I like the original and the Metallica cover. In my mind cover songs should always sound good when anyone performs them.
2) Depended a lot on the circumstances, a drunk idiot I can walk away from I'd walk away. Someone who threatened my family, they wouldn't finish the threat before I was trying to neutralize them.
3) It's selfish to say but if I felt like I needed to see them I'd do it before I lost the chance. I'd respect their wishes if I was at peace with them, although I would make it clear I was available.

1: If your family is getting together, are you sick already from the influx and travel or dreading the inevitable? (I got laid out yesterday by the cold making the rounds here)

1. You know, I have never traveled any great distances during the holiday, so I can only make assumptions, and I assume that it would be a pain and overwhelming, lol!
2. Nope.
3. I haven't seen it until now (I googled it, haha). It looks okay, I could see how people prefer the classic red can, but sometimes its better to change things around, you know?

1. cookbooks, french literature (17th to 20th century), how to keep house type books, legal books (husband's), photo albums, records, board games, art books. my bookshelf is floor to ceiling so it's pretty much our mini library.
2. i probably shop online more than i should. it's a shame that it's so easy to buy with a couple simple clicks. otherwise, i'd save a ton of money because actually going to the mall is a pain. i normally buy records, fancy knickers, dresses, high heels, handbags and baby clothes. i'm a sucker for all that stuff as long as it suits me and i probably do it at least once every 2 weeks, one of the above.
3. i had to wear scrubs at my old job, working in the OR of an ophthalmology practice. i also worked at starbucks in college and still have my old aprons. (which i wasn't supposed to keep, but i left on bad terms so that + keeping one of the former supervisor's jackets was my f*** you to them, lol). the other part of that uniform was a white shirt + khakis or black pants or a black skirt. i'd wear a white shirt, black mini and black combat boots and didn't think much of it, but wow, did it get me a lot of attention. hello tips and guys asking me out... right in front of my bf who worked there with me...

1. No I have not, I had a job cooking some stuff when I worked in a biochem lab but it's not exactly stuff you'd eat
2. Does turkey and stuffing count? If we're not including holiday food then I'd go with udon noodles.

1. All the time. Probably the easiest and most effective was at work I came back to my desk and popped open my lunch bag, grabbed my sandwich to grub down on and saw that a bite had been taken out of a corner. The perp had put it back perfectly, wrapped and in the baggie as well so I never noticed something was amiss. I confronted the wrong coworker and he just laughed and said he wished he'd thought of that first. I was pissed at first but a few minutes later thought it was pretty damn funny.
2. Nothing special. Probably a house party with friends. I'm not a huge NYE party guy. I just like to get drunk, make an ass of myself and hang out with friends.
3. Depends. If you stop and look around every so often, "better" is always a moment of reflection away.

some new short sleeve t-shirts from Duluth, and some long sleeves from Riggs, some new boxer brief drawers, and some over alls from carhart. I have been forbidden from ordering from those places since last May.

Nope, I married into a family that takes all ****ing day to do Christmas. Ham, cheeses, breads, pies, et al will be set out to catch as catch can.

Yesterday, as a matter of fact. I may buy the empty 45 acres next to my place in Febuary, at least I'll make a cash offer.

1. my room: some photos of me and the husband backstage at the warped tour with some of our favorite musicians. a painting from venice, italy. a comic art storyboard my husband got from a friend. an absolut vodka design from years ago when they still had interesting ads. my daughter's room: a few lamb artworks in going with the theme of her nursery. an L standing for her name. a 7 seconds poster. a queers surf goddess concert limited edition print poster. some kings posters. our foyer: a cubist rendition of the eiffel tower by robert delauney. living room and kitchen: art work by my MIL and a painting of a countryside somewhere by an artist that only the MIL and SIL seem to know. dining room: matisse print. hallway and bathroom: a tile from hawaii and a print of la jeune martyre by delaroche that i got at the louvre.

in terms of what i'd like to hang, i have a few more limited edition concert prints that i'd like to get framed and hung. i also want to hang some kings stuff (signed prints, not just those player cards they used to give at the games) once i drywall my garage.
