    3. palin or bachmann? lol.

    1. Went to someone else's house just in the local area. Didn't travel to Kentucky or someplace like that, well, at least not this year.
    2. This is my first time hearing about that. Dunno, seems kinda weird, but I can see why people would do it. It's not like everyone is following all the members of their family on twitter. If my family wrote a letter like that all it would have to contain is something along the lines of "usual drama and this year so and so got divorce."
    3. Ugh! But hey, I am all about experiencing different things, so threesome!

    1. Did you get any interesting gifts this year for the holidays?
    2. A politician that you think is hot?
    3. An image (think: album cover, movie poster, ect.,) that brings goods memories? One that brings odd/bad memories?

    1. i got a record from my husband - the best of blondie. i find it funny because i already have the cd. he hunted all over OC to find me the ones i put on my list, but they were all too hard to find. he could've easily gotten them off ebay or amazon, but i guess he didn't want me opening the mail before he got home. it's nice that he got me a record though. it shows me he cares about my zeal for them.

    2. NO.

    3.
i get good memories from this one because i listened to it a lot in college. it reminds me of when my husband and i were just kids, the fun classes i had and not having a care in the world, really. while he's not the first guy i've bonded with over music, he's the one i've remained sharing with for over a decade and this is one of the albums that we both like a lot so there's a lot going on with this one.

i go to a pretty dark place inside me when i listen to this. i can easily be that girl in the album picture. no one else i know really knows this ep so i feel like it's still my own, too.

    1. are you going to party like it's 1999 this weekend?
    2. do your parents do anything that makes you want to bang your head on the wall?
    3. how handy are you around the house? i ask because my husband just spent the evening fixing my dishwasher. it works now. huzzah!

    1) No, I'll probably drink more than I wanted to but I already know I'm going on the wagon for the new year and I've been just cutting it down. Probably play a board game and whatnot with the family with some out of town visitors. We had Christmas like it was 1999 though....
    2) Well when my pops was alive he would say **** like "You know you can't throw away dirt!". All my mom has to do is get near a computer.
    3) More handy than I want to be. There's a definite cost benefit analysis whenever anything starts going wrong. Toilets, stoves, dishwashers, yardwork some electrical (fixtures, fans). If its a plumbing deal though it really comes down to if I have to turn off the water, I don't have the time to fix it when we'll need water again. For the most part though I'd like to think I'm no more handy than anyone else that's attempted to own a home. Props to your husband though, dishwashers suck if you have to try and get behind them and under the sink. Its not usually hard but damn the space gets tight.

    1) Did you get what you wanted for Christmas?
    2) Would you host a new years party or only go to one?
    3) When was the last time you changed your haircut, when was the last time your significant other did?

    he totally had help. see?

    1. if you're talking about non-materialistically, yes. i got plenty of sleep and christmas was the one day i didn't go anywhere or do any housework for once. any parent will know that that kind of rest is a gift in itself. if you're talking about presents, well, my parents don't celebrate (long story, but they used to when i was a kid), my husband's mom has been in the hospital for almost 2 months so no one there did any xmas shopping and his sister didn't get me anything (not sure what happened there... like she... forgot...? ). so the only person who bought me anything was my husband. i got a record as i mentioned before, some kitchen stuff, a boston terrier calendar ('cause he knows how much i love laughing at their cute expressions) and the dishwasher i'm supposed to eventually get. i'd have liked a handbag, but at this point in my life, it's more practical to use the money towards house stuff. womp womp.

    2. i can co-host a party so the entire entertaining burden isn't on me. my neighbor said something about having a small neighborhood party and i offered to open my house up for it also so we could get something going between his house, our courtyard and my house. it turns out we got the firm's tickets to the kings NYE game so if anything, we'll just go over to our neighbor's house after i put the kid to bed.

    3. i used to have really long hair with no bangs up until about 5 yrs ago. after i donated it to locks of love, it's usually been within +/- 2" of shoulder length with sideswept bangs. i'm trying to go back to longer hair now though, but sometimes i just get sick of it.
my husband stopped putting gel in his hair a couple years ago when his mom said something about how young it made him look. she has a certain (ie, somewhat old-fashioned) opinion of how attorneys should look. not much of a drastic change though. i'd say the last drastic thing was when he had pretty unruly, longish hair when i met him while he was going to law school. it was so thick and curly. my daughter got her curls from him. lucky girl.

    1. do you ever look up people from your high school to see how much they've changed since you were all teens?
    2. did YOU get everything you wanted for christmas?
    3. what is the ideal amount of sexing for you?

    Now thats a handy helper!

    1) Not so much high school as the neighborhood kids I grew up with. Went to a magnet school so most of the kids in High School I had only known for 4 years and then we all went off to different colleges. I usually rely on my sister to keep tabs on most of them and give me the updates though. I do keep on with a few from school though.
    2) Similarly I didn't want much in the way of gifts, but it was really nice to have alot of the family together and get some rest. My mom hosted 19 people for Christmas dinner and only 1 person was a "guest", everyone else was a family member or significant other. It was great though as half of us had flown in from various states to see each other. We did get a blu ray player which was pretty nice though.
    3) Ideal, hard to say definitely 3-4 times a week minimum. Problems we're having are #1 a toddler that can now bust in on us, #2 my wife's pregnant again and this time with the uber morning sickness. So right now more would definitely be nice but I'm not 16 anymore. I don't think I could handle the 3 times a day for a week straight without going into a coma. After the second one's born I'm probably going to have to become some kind of sex ninja to get any time with her.

1: Speaking of sexing, do you have a couple friend that you're pretty sure never has sex at all, or the flip side the older couple that still needs to go on a honeymoon and get some of it out of their system? Is it super apparent socially?
2: If you were to somehow wake up with the responsibility of an additional child, what age/sex would you want them to be (setting the maximum at 16)?
3: Have you had the weird Sutter Kruger nightmare yet?

    1. Yeah, and it's me. Though I have friends that I RARELY ever see with girlfriends. Don't know what they do but I assume they get along okay.
    2. Boy and anything beyond diaper changing I could deal with.
    3. Not sure but since my last name is Krueger, I would assume yes.

    1. Plans for NYE?

If we make it past 8pm I will be surprised. (we have 128 bales of hay showing up tomorrow, so, after stacking, we will be wiped out.)

yeah, pretty much. Not for the younger folks maybe, but after say, 45, I think it is over rated.

wow, hard choice for me, I love carrot cake and dutch apple pie. I can't choose, so if available, I have a bit of both.

Do you think the US Navy will live up to their statement of blowing the Iranian gun boats out of the water if they try to carry out their threats?

Are you looking forward to 2012? and what cool stuff do you have planned or hope works out?

have you ever totally forgiven someone for really boning you?

    1. I am assuming they will, but who knows anything about things like that these days.

    2. I will look forward to it darnitt! And a job change/turnaround would be more than welcome. And I also plan to watch some Kings playoff hockey, dammit!

    3. Boning in the literal sense? There's nothing to forgive. If anything, one day after the act, I send a thank you card with a gift card to the pottery barn to show my gratitude. If you mean boning in the figurative sense, I have been boned and let down by the Kings, and I am still here, right? So yes Virginia, Orphy can be the forgiving type.

    1. When was the last time you dusted off an album that you haven't heard in a long time? What was the album? Do you have any memories associated with it? And what do you think about it today?

    2. Favorite science fiction show or movie or novel?

    3. One scene from a movie that seems like it was practically lifted from your life?

    1) I did pull out voodoo glow skulls Firme to listen to land of the misfit toys. Was a total holiday season lark. Not the biggest fan of them but I've always liked that album for whatever reason.
    2) Re read Anathem by Neal Stephenson in November and I think it's still tops of my Sci Fi books. Just a totally epic departure and mind opener. I'm pretty sure I'll read that one about 20 more times. Can't recommend that book enough but I don't know that anyone can read it without being in the right mood for it.
    3) My wife and I used to have this truman show phenomenon going on. We would talk about something and it would show up in the news or in the paper. We used to talk about the "producers" messing with the matrix. The most amusing random scene that comes to mind though was on a college outing 30 of my fraternity members went to go see slums of Beverly Hills in Chicago. They all knew that I grew up in Torrance. I had a reputation of being "not well off". Anyway there is a line in the movie where the kids are arguing with their dad and he suggests moving to Torrance and they reply "only poor people live in Torrance". Seriously could not live that scene down.

1: What's your favorite Pixar movie?
2: Is there any new years tradition that you honor?
3: What the hell is there to watch on TV on sunday?

I had that Voodo Glow Skulls album, lol! I am pretty sure it was a casualty during Warehouse Reconds trade your used CDs for credit days though.

And I have never read Anathem. :(

    1. The Toy Story series. The Incredibles would be second. But really, most, if not all Pixar movies are worth watching.

    2. Besides getting drunk?

Honestly, nothing really stands out. It's one of those holidays that I tend to play by ear and do whatever comes along instead of following a tradition. There have been years, lol, when I had to work on that day and by the time midnight comes along I am already warm and sleeping in my bed. Yeah, reeeeaaal, party animal, I know.

    3. The Simpsons? How about Antique Roadshow? Lol! Hahaha! I totally often watch the latter on Sundays, which makes me feel like I am halfway to becoming an old Jewish lady. For some reason, dunno, I assume that old Jewish ladies are that shows main demographic. Anyways, Sunday is like everyday telly wise for me since I don't really follow too many shows either way.

    1. Favorite Madonna song? Admit, you have one. Everyone has one. Maybe.

    2. Something that you are way too afraid of? Something that you should be afraid of but really aren't?

    3. General political views? Do you align yourself with a political party? Ideology? Campaign for certain issues? Indifferent? What?
