the chara pic in question and the oilers in the locker room were all part of a yearly pictorial for ESPN The Magazine. It's called the Body Issue. They invite athletes from a variety of sports to take tasteful nude photographs to highlight the different shapes and builds of the different athletes.
With that said, even though its fully covered, I thought the penalty box pic was cutting it close and even I wasnt dumb enough to post Chara or the Locker room pic.
I still think, however, those ESPN pics are very tasteful and not at all as bad as some of the other things that have been allowed and welcomed here. (hint: 2 + girls + kissing + kings jerseys = yay?)
No matter how you cut it, there's gonna be a double standard. There's one captain of this ship and for better or worse he gets to decide what's OK and what's not. For the most part it's absolutely cool and common sense. It's when we start postin men that it becomes a lil' sketchy.
With that said, I'll never make fun of NASCAR drivers again. Hot damn.

to be clear the double standard i was referring to seems to be imposed by the women folk. hell, the guys were the ones who tried to get this back on track for us.

i know. :) but the truth is when it comes to women it's always sketchy. the men are bad, the women are worse to eachother. sometimes there's a point to it all and other times ya just can't win.

yeah, women are awful to each other. it explains why 99% of my friends are guys. whatever, i'm over it. people are going to think what they want and that's that.
