I can't believe this wasn't already posted. I'd love to see the trail he took from the mountains and how long it took b4 anyone saw it.

.
I'd prefer to do a different sort of Cougar Hunting in Santa Monica.
They never heard of tranquilizer gun accuracy? What's with that crap
I wonder if they had to fire 94 bullets to kill the mountain lion.
And thats how you get ants!
That picture in the OPs link wasn't the actual picture of this particular cat was it? Damn that was one big cat in the middle of downtown Santa Monica.
They did but it kept trying to hop a fence and get away, if that picture is correct, that cat could easily kill an adult let alone any children walking to school this morning. I'm all for trying to save the animal first but I agree with the decision to euthanize it once it tried to get away.

"This is for you, Kings players who have EVER worn the Kings uniform, and Kings fans wherever you may be, all the frustration and disappointment of the past is GONE! The 45 year drought is over! The Los Angeles Kings are INDEED, the Kings of the National Hockey League, the 2012 STANLEY CUP CHAMPIONS!" - Bob Miller
"The long wait is over, after 45 years, the Kings can wear their crown! The Los Angeles Kings have won the Stanley Cup!!!" - Nick Nickson
Oh I know that but, have them up here where I live and only time one would attack someone is in defence. They'll try to avoid human contact at all cost. Some people just hit that panic button way too soon. Besides, if she had gotten over the fence, chances are most likely the tranquilizer dart would have taken right after.
Just came back from Kings Canyon and didn't see one bear or mountain lion (whew!). Maybe they all went to SM for the weekend.
my co-workers' mom works in that area and was telling her about it while it was happening earlier. apparently they tried to tranquilize it twice and nothing happened, so when it made a move to get out of the courtyard, they didn't have much of a choice. poor thing was probably terrified.
"Hockey won't hold still to give you a better look. You wouldn't want it to anyway. It's the action that makes the possibilities endless."
