I have come to realize that when you get your order wrong it is usually not the waiters fault, but the kitchen. I have had it happen where the waiter will read my order back correctly, but when I get my food, its incorrect. So I dont blame the waiter for that. Probably the biggest reason for mistakes is food going to the wrong table, which is not the kitchen's fault at all, but rather the server's or the food runner's. Just about every restaurant charges an automatic gratuity for parties of 8 or more just because they're more difficult to deal with and they hardly ever tip according to percentage. I believe that everyone should be paid a decent wage, and that tips should be voluntarily given for good service, and that a portion of it should be split up among the whole kitchen. But until that happens I'm still going to give the standard 15-20% tip. And if I have a problem with the service I'm going to complain to the manager. Most of the time they'll comp you in some way. Which is what that pastor should've done instead of leaving that note. But what was worse was when she called that Applebees and demanded that everyone involved be fired. I'm getting more and more fed up with so-called religious people who use belief in God as an excuse for being horrible people.
Even if the kitchen gave them the wrong order shouldnt the server double check it before bringing it to the table? i would think a good server wouldQuote:
