Nocturn, I haven't seen those comments you're referring to, but I know what a lot of people in the East are saying is not that "it's just NY/NJ," rather "it's not only NYC/NJ." The storm affected tens of millions of people, but the majority of the media coverage was centered on Manhattan and the Jersey shore points. There were thousands of people who didn't have power for a week just a few miles from where Rom delivered generators, but those people's stories don't get any coverage. There was hardly any mention of Staten Island, who suffered far more destruction than Manhattan. TWC is particularly annoying in this respect.
if you haven't heard, SCE sent a few plane loads of their techs and equipment to the eastern starboard to help out with the recovery. kudos to them. DWP can go **** themselves.
