This Massive Bomber uses/used the physics of ground effect to enable it to carry up to 2 million pounds. When a plane’s wings cut through the air normally the displaced air moves up and down as normal. But using ground effect being close to the surface, (in this case water) the water pushes back and allows for significantly more lift allowing the plane to carry such a inordinate amount of storage.
