I Club Race (Gentleman’s rules) the E30 when time permits and have a great time doing it. I would consider myself a BMW enthusiast, not a “macho kidee". And yes, I know exactly what the Roundel means.
That E36 M3 is a serious auto, you must of gotten well over 140 out of it on a track..?

The Blue/White Check in the logo is the National flag Of Bavaria.

The Socialist party (Nazi) in Europe was very strong in Bavaria, when Hitler became Chancellor of Germany in 1932 he immediately invaded Bavaria to strengthen his hand. Within 3 years he had established concentration camps where his famous doctors were working on the perfect race.
After WWII, East Germany, the Russian sector treated it all the same and never split it off.

Now, no more history....back to photos.
So no Mercedes, VW, Audi, Fiat, Ford or GM cars then. No Kodak cameras, no Coke, no IBM products, Hugo Boss suits, no accounts at Chase, no books from Random House.... I'm probably missing quite a few.

    **** THAT!

Leather couch with a top speed of 240 Mpg:

at the draft party a couple of years ago, and under a considerable haze, i heard Birdman yell out the following (about 4 or 5 times, i think) - "don't marry yourselves to players!" he went on to reiterate that idea more than once on the boards, and i believe it to be absolutely sage.

Ok, I know all that. Although I don't know what Hitler and the Nazi's have to do with modern BMW. If it is that BMW made engines for German warplanes one must keep in mind that all industries in all the involved countries made material for "the home team".

As for being "cheap cars": May I point out that they were/are "cheap" in Germany because they are a domestic product, but they have always been well built machines. They always score high in the auto mag reviews, always in the running for "Best in Class" (I think the 3 Series has won best in class something like 21 years in row), almost always well reviewed. It is not only young people, BMW has found a market with all types of drivers.

Don't get me wrong, I am not a BMW fanatic or anything but I must say I have had my 7 series for a while now, over 170,000 miles, and it still runs like a race car, still blows the doors off other cars if I need to pass someone.

Like I said before I was not mad or upset or anything but your original statement about BWMs being "cheap kid kars" was just silly.
