Something Pretty Freaking Scary Happened This Weekend...
And a little bit of a wake up for me. While my life hasn't been great in the last year, sometimes things happen that make you grateful for all the love and support you have around you when times are tough.
Very early Sunday morning, I was driving home from in LA and foolishly chose to try to make it all of the way even though I was extremely tired. Apparently, I fell asleep briefly because next thing I know, I feel an impact on the left side of the highway near a cement divider and swerve back to the right into a different lane. Fortunately, very few cars were around and I didn't hit anyone else going into the 2nd lane. I arrived home and was shocked to see that the left side wheels were torn up but there was no other visible damage to the vehicle (which is amazing and a miracle to me). I'm extremely thankful that it wasn't worse.
It's still a little scary to consider that I don't remember much about an accident that occurred while traveling at freeway speed other than a heavy thump and as cliche as it sounds, it really helps you put in perspective how short life is and to make the most of it because it could be over in the blink of an eye.
