Getting back into "rollin' my own" after a near 20 year hiatus. Going to load 180gr .40SW with that there blue beastie. It's a Dillon RL550B, and it's all set up in my garage as of this afternoon. In addition, I set up my old shotshell reloader, too.

Now, waiting for components. I've bought 3000 lead bullets, eight pounds of powder, primers, and brass. Just waiting for it all to show up. I'll be able to load 1000 rounds for a total cost of $164. By the time I load my 3000th bullet, I'll have paid for the reloader with my savings over factory blammo.

What model, I've considered doing this too. Dillon has a Square Deal B on their site which is tempting.

Heh!! Yeah...Unit 2 and blue Unit 0 watching over things, I guess. Unit 1 is on my daughter's bookshelf. They're all built from Bandai kits back in the late 1990s. To the left out of the picture I've got Spike Spiegel's ship (Swordfish II) and a 1/72 Super Valkyrie in fighter mode as well as a very old build of the P-38J I did when I was like 17. They're all showing signs of wear and degradation, sadly. I'm particularly proud of the detail work I did on the 1/72 SuperValk.

The reloader is the 550B. I'm lucky in that I have two buddies that supply me with all the once-fired brass I can possibly load at scrap pricing of less than $100 for a five gallon bucket, which I'm told holds about 5000 casings. Buying once-fired from retailers wouldn't be nearly as cheap, and I really want to just not give a **** about the brass when it hits the dirt. SO MANY GUYS at the shoots run around with their brass collectors and buckets, whoring up every piece of brass after they shoot a stage, and it really interferes with the flow of a match.

Looked at the price of brass and yeah that would probably be the harder part for me to source at a good price but still overall a cheaper route to go.

I have over 50 Gundam I've built. I used to buy model kits all the time but been awhile. I need to get a new airbrush setup to really go to town.
I collect/build a lot more mecha or Tamiya motorcycle kits than I do other types. I've been slowly building a collection of vinyl bishoujo kits from Yamato or Kotobukiya haha *eeps* Wouldn't mind getting some of the higher-end sculpts from Hot Toys/Sideshow Collectibles.

So Im torn between these wheels for my 100% blacked out Tuxedo Black F150 6.5' bed Screw:

I thought I would keep the same size stock 20's that I currently have but, to be honest, I like more tire than rim on a truck. I'm going to drop down to a 18" and go with a larger wall tire. Something in the 34" range versus the stock 31.8". I've already leveled the front of the truck so a 34" will be just fine.

    Opinions?

PS Oh yeah, I plan on going with either a 295/70r18 or a 305/60r18 Nitto Terra Grappler, Nitto Trail Grappler or a Toyo Wilderness A/T. So she'll be an Off-Road killer. Yes, I know about the reduced MPG, Speedo readings (I have a tuner already) and noise. Thanks.

    Here's the truck:

This is a old pic and all the chrome has since been blacked out including the running boards and f150 badges. All the light clusters have been replaced with smoked HID/LED and the FX4 decals were replaced with a flat black decals. Wish I had a updated pic.

Yeah, the biggest benifit to that one is it's the closest to the OEM rim offset (+44) being a +30. It will put about 1" of meat outside of the wheel wells, which isn't bad. The rest I posted are +18's which will add just over 1.75 outside the wheel wells. Good choice.
