not mine. I'm not sure if it's because she's snub nosed and has a relatively long body or what, but thankfully, she can't reach. if she could, I probably wouldn't let her lick my face or stuff like that... but ya, I'd agree that pets are generally filthier than people, but some more than others.

My in-laws have a dog that eats its own

That said, I like both dogs and cats. In fact we currently have a boxer and a black and white cat.

mine did this, too. pretty gross. i trained her not to anymore by pouring tabasco sauce on her crap in the backyard after she went. totally unpleasant, but necessary to teach her to stop. she'd go up to it and take a sniff, sneeze and walk away and now she isn't interested in it anymore. that was about 3-4 yrs ago when she was still a puppy.
