There is this cool position on an automatic....its called NEUTRAL. Apply brakes. Or hit the brakes hard and the car WILL stop. 99% of these things are operator error.

Yeah, like when Toyota had to call back all their cars a while ago. Their investigation turned out that nothing was wrong with the cars, probably just a case of mass hysteria and people to dumb to know one pedal from the other.

Even if the accelerator is stuck, the brakes are more powerful and can easily stop the car.

I heard the 911 call from that woman on Kevin and Bean. She seemed pretty calm and collect for the situation. According to her she tried and the car wouldn't go in to neutral, and the brakes were not strong enough. However, She is still clearly at fault. The proper way to handle it would have been to do some one handed mother fing donuts while flipping everyone the bird out the window like a boss.
