I bought my latest BMW at CarMax. It had been a corp lease. Perfect condition and less than 30K miles. Entire process took me 15 mins on phone and 30 mins at dealership. A fantastic experience all around.

Never did it personally, but I've heard a lot of people say that you can get good deals from the car rental places because they update their fleets quite often and the cars are well maintained and clean.

OC Auction is just a used car lot that sells auction style. Blok is older cars cheaper w some gems but not what I'm looking for right now.

at the draft party a couple of years ago, and under a considerable haze, i heard Birdman yell out the following (about 4 or 5 times, i think) - "don't marry yourselves to players!" he went on to reiterate that idea more than once on the boards, and i believe it to be absolutely sage.

Sounds about like my last purchase, except the guy raped himself. I got an '07 350z. 40k miles with aftermarket exhaust, dual cold air intake, coil-over suspension, custom rims, and an aftermarket head unit, subwoofer, and amp. His asking price was $1,500 under blue book. It was even under the black book value by a few hundred dollars. (black book is like blue book, but more accurate. it's used by banks, insurance companies and such) I ended up getting it for less than the cost of a new Honda Civic.

Sadly, I had to finance as I was getting divorced at the time and she couldn't touch the asset if I financed 100% of it. That was two year ago though, and it's nearly paid off now. My next car will be paid 100% in cash up front.

ETA: I found the car on craigslist.

Won a 2007 Rabbit on ebay last night, gonna pick it up today. It's 3-4K less than any other comparable car on the market. Sounds too good to be true, but even if I need to put a few K in I feel good. It hasn't been easy though.
