Default Yosemite: How low is the Merced Riiver?

Has anyone been to Yosemite in the last few weeks? Is there enough water in the river for some tubing / rafting / kids being kids? Or is it just a trickle?

Online, we've just seen that is is quite hot right now, but we can't seem to get any info on how high or low the river is.

    THX!!

You know, fightin' in a basement offers a lot of difficulties. Number one being, you're fightin' in a basement!

It was still tubeable when I was there the first of July, but it was really low for that time of year, almost an annual trek at that time for us.

To put it in perspective, the top of the walk to Vernal Falls on the Mist Trail, usually sopping wet requiring you to actually use the railing, was bone dry. The water at the top was so calm, my kids were able to walk across the rocks and then they swam across the Emerald Pool, which was probably 6 to 8 feet lower than I have seen in the past.

at the draft party a couple of years ago, and under a considerable haze, i heard Birdman yell out the following (about 4 or 5 times, i think) - "don't marry yourselves to players!" he went on to reiterate that idea more than once on the boards, and i believe it to be absolutely sage.
