Can we make the Likes permanent

i agree with you. my likes were almost at 1000, and really felt i was starting to be more established here.

Now that i have under 100 likes again i feel like a noob and don't par up to lappy's like standard. My standard is more of a likes to posts ratio, but still lappy's standard is just as valid in my book!

Also, i don't think reputation is cutting it, i've been on this forum for almost a year now, and have recieved maybe a handful of reps. seems like something that should be re-evaluated?

Your likes/posts ratio only really worked for newer users. since the likes is a new feature, anyone with the majority of their posts coming before the 'Like' button was around would have the ratio negatively affected. So that isn't a good enough evaluation of someone's internet worthiness.

Most people stopped pushing the Rep button when the Like button showed up.
There was a time when I was so proud of my full Rep meter, that I would log on 15-20 times a day just to look at all my King badges; but then the meter was recalibrated.

Basically, you have 3 ways to kiss as here on LGK:

1. Post a kiss ass thread or post.

2. Give good karma/rep

3. Like the post.

It's all about "What have you done lately" I guess. I'll suggest to the author that a choice should be available to retain the likes, I think the reputation had a mod to do that. These guys love to tweak so maybe they will actualy do it.

I love it when RR wants me tweaking.

I think RR is tweeking a lot of the time

Note that I also lost a ton of likes and about 300 posts... What a horrible thing to have a 3k karma orgy posting at the ready and find out that 300 posts were missing from the total...

I just asked again how to hack it so the posting credit is not removed with the post. Waiting for help from the propellerheads.
