i highly doubt kitsyn is going back to russia next year... he has lived up to his word about coming to NA for jr hockey... why would he leave now??? hes only 1-3 years away from making the big show...

He is still under contract with his team in the KHL. I cant find the article I wanted but there is this one saying that he is under contract for 2 more years:

But Kitsyn also admitted that he still didn’t take a definite decision about what to do on the upcoming season. “I don’t know what’s going to happen next year, I should get back to my mother club, I still have two years of contract with them. I think that we’ll take a decision only this summer.”

I remember reading something about the KHL team let him out after the WJC to play in the OHL as long as he comes back next season

It would then be fair for him to go back. No need to make unnecessary enemies.
And KHL is pretty darn good place for him to learn his hockey.

I like Kitsyn's game and I'd rather see him play in the KHL than languishing in the minors for 2-3 years. But if Lombardi has promised Kitsyn a good look once Smyth retires than you never know! Kitsyn the type of in-your-face winger this team needs more of(respect due Clifford)
