The Monarchs beat Portland 2-1 Wednesday and are in first place not only in their division but in their conference.
You wouldn't think a team that lost both Voinov and Loktionov would do so well, but they are!
Hickey, while only contributing 6 assists and no goals, leads the team with a +12.
Cliche leads the team with 15 points and a +10.
You might think Martin Jones and his 2.50/91.2 in 17 games (9-7-1) would be the leading goalie but Jeff Zatkoff is 2.13/93.1 in 14 games (8-3-1).
Unlike the Kings, the Monarchs are having quite a bit of success scoring and giving up around only 2.5 goals a game (17-10-0-2).
