    Gomez did it last lockout to stay close to home. He led the league in scoring.

    Looks like Gomez was only there for training camp (staying in shape):

    As for Mara, he didn't look real comfortable out on the ice last night, IMO. Seemed very frustrated at times. I can only imagine the dialogue going on between him and the Stockton players. They definitely got under his skin in the 3rd period.

    I'm sure he is adapting to the slower game and taking a year off still. He'll be better soon.
