The Reign traded goalie Mike Zacharias to the Idaho Steelheads for future considerations Tuesday, leaving only Kellen Briggs and Garrett Zemlak to compete for the vacant goalie spot alongside Kings prospect Martin Jones.

Reign win their first game of the season, 6-3. Briggs had the start and was first star with 24 saves on 27 shots.

Reign won in OT, 5-4. Martin Jones had 26 saves on 30 shots.

ONTARIO, Calif. – The Ontario Reign, proud affiliate of the NHL’s Los Angeles Kings, announced today that have received goaltender Beau Erickson in a trade from the South Carolina Stingrays (ECHL) for future considerations.

Depending on how things work out tomorrow, I just might end up going to this game. We'll see.

What are you guys working on when it comes to the marketing side?

We were at Frozen Fury this year. We also do an affiliate night. We did it last year, when we wore black and silver jerseys. This season we'll be wearing the old purple and gold style jerseys, with a Reign theme. It will be an all Kings night - with highlights on the big screen, Bailey and the Kings ice girls will be there, plus Luc is coming out to drop the first puck. We're also working on getting some of the Kings Alumni there. After the game the jerseys will be auctioned off for charity too. So, just a whole Kings night.
