The first round series are all split 2-3 to reduce travel expenses of a 2-2-1. I believe they give the higher seed the choice between starting at home or getting 3 games at home.

BTW, thanks Ontario for making Reading's swirl around the toilet bowl not be the worst thing that happened in the first round. For those of you not following, Reading (#8 seed) beats Elmira (#1 seed) in the first 2 games at home. But true to his motto of "I never met a job that I could finish" Coach Courville and the Royals blow three match points to lose the series 3-2. If this sounds familiar, they did the same thing 2 years ago, except it was a 7-game series and we led 3-0.

This team went full retard during the post season.

Hopefully you don't blame me too much, filling in for Jeff on the PA tonight. I usually do the PA for CSUF hockey, but got the call to fill-in tonight.

That being said, it was a tough game to watch. Ontario just got outhustled and outplayed all night. I'm surprised the hook came that late for Carrozzi, i would have thought it would come after the 3-0 goal with the team so flat. But it was a fun season and some fun playoff games to go to!

That might have actually been carefully calculated by my director who was in my ear with the three stars and distracting me right when it went by. Maybe a good thing that there wasn't a one minute call in a 5-0 blowout to end the season.
