Save for Ondrus's five minute major/GM for slashing in the 3rd period, I was impressed by Idaho's performance last night. They outworked/executed the Reign for two periods and nearly won the game in regulation. Ontario finally broke through to tie it in the third, but Berube's second soft goal (IMO) of the night ended the game. To be fair, he also saved our bacon on more than one occasion, especially in overtime. But from my vantage point, it appeared as though he was slow to cover the far post on the first Idaho goal, and the game winner came from somewhere around the blue line, if I recall correctly. The Reign defense hung him out to dry on the 2nd goal--a 3 on 1 break, with Gron scoring on a nice wrister.
We knew the Steelheads wouldn't be easy, and last night's performance proved it. Let's just hope the boys can rebound tonight and even the series. Heading up to Boise 0-2 doesn't augur well.
Kudos to the two ladies who sang the National Anthem last night. Well done!
Let's go, Reign . . . and turn up the heat! It was freezing inside CBBA last night.

Last night was BRUTAL Reign D hung Berube out on the first goal. He should of at least tried to poke check it as the players across his crease but he got no help. the Ref sucked for both team. Idaho outplayed us most of the night. While the stick to the face on BURT went uncalled and left them 3 on 1 Berube should have stopped it.
Tonight I expect a much more physical game from the start. Wouldnt even be surprised to see a walker (staged) fight on the first shift.
Tonight is DO OR DIE IMO

Wow they were a crossbar away from a 2-0 lead in this series. Nice rebound win for the guys.

Nice to see Lamoureux scoring goals again (ended a 12-game drought last night). Berube looked sharp, and Calla was great as usual with the Gordie Howe hat trick.
The Reign took 2 of 3 last month up in Boise with virtually the same lineup that they have now (Condon in for Berube, who was up in Manchester). Here's to them equaling (if not surpassing) that feat this time around.
Let's go, Reign!

Reign won 2-1 and now lead the series 2-1. The win means at least one more game at the Bank.

It looks like Idaho figured out Berube and the Reign defense last night, 6-0. Series is now tied 2-2. Cullity's been a big addition to their D. On the bright side, at least we're not down 3-1 like top-seeded Alaska is to Stockton. Get a win tonight and bring it home to CBBA next week for the clincher.
Let's go, Reign!

Unfortunately, the series is heading back to our barn with a must win situation facing the Reign Tuesday night. Berube played well enough to win (especially in OT), but it wasn't to be. We were very fortunate to get out of the 1st Period up 1-0 given Estrada's slashing minor and consecutive delay of game penalties. PK bailed us out. Also way too many turnovers and not enough traffic in front of Robinson to suit me.
Let's hope the boys can rally for a pair of wins on home ice. Just the thought of Idaho knocking us out of the playoffs again this year makes me want to heave. And would someone PLEASE knock Justin Taylor on his ass. That alone would be worth the price of admission.
Let's go, Reign!

Wtf? 4 goals on 9 shots! Why hasn't Burebe been pulled?
