Kemp Press conference via Mayor's Manor:

No Sunday games during football season.

Web based radio coverage for half road games.

3 bobblehead nights for : Germain, Francisco, and Walker

Kemp-"No real support through Kings, lowest number of affiliate players in league"

Vancouver was close to being affiliate but Kings didn't want a part of that.

3-4 coaching candidates for the job and will have extensive experience at that level.

Kings affiliate night will be October 29th, 2011.

The jersey will be the new Kings road jersey with IE instead of LA.

I ran over on my lunch break. Missed the Kemp show. Just scored some pizza and cookies and booked it out, really.

They couldn't have made it more difficult. The timing was tough. (10-2 on a Wednesday?) NOWHERE on the press release, e-mail, or website did it actually give the address. How stupid is that? The only address was on a .jpg that was too small to see. I finally figured out where to go, but once I got to the office, there was no signage... except for one small printed sign that said "Reign Open House" and had an arrow pointing to absolutely nothing. Not much happening at the thing either... nice offices, though.

Does your arena have it's own parking lot? We've paid for parking here since day one (city garages). Our parking prices are actually going down this year, though....woot! Reading this, I'm amazed at all the things you guys haven't had from day one....no radio broadcast, no store? Wow. The free parking thing must have been nice, though.

Season Ticket holders won't have to pay, only anyone with single game tix. But if you think the parking lot idiots were slow and stupid before, wait till they have to look at parking passes and collect money. Better leave earlier for the game as there will be at least a 30 min snafu at the lot.

the arena is beautiful and the parking situation is not bad. im not really pissed at the thought of paying for parking as a reign fan, its as a resident of the city of Ontario who heard all the promises and schpeils that were tossed around as it was being planning/approved to be built. its not just reign games that will be charged parking and im sure the reign have little to nothing to do with the decision... but it definitely adds another layer of consideration as to whether i want to spend hard earned money taking my kids to see pro hockey when i can take them to the local hockey rink and see just about equal skill for free on a thursday night house league... and the beer is cheaper.
