Whether he was a standout with the Stratford Cullitons, the star at Bowling Green State University, or now as a Stanley Cup champion, Nelson Emerson has always remembered where it all began. And on Tuesday, with Lord Stanley’s mug in tote, Emerson came home to Waterford to share it with the community.

“Bringing the Cup home is very important to me,” said Emerson, who is in the Los Angeles Kings’ player development department. “I was at this arena all day, every day as a kid, and to bring it here and see the children’s reaction is great.
