ITHACA Sean O'Brien of Ithaca and his young son, Finnegan, waited at Cass Park Rink for more than four hours on Saturday morning to get what Finnegan called a "once-in-a-lifetime" chance to see the Stanley Cup.

"This might be the best day of my life," the youngster, no more than 6 or 7, stated with certainty.

Sean and Finnegan were the first of hundreds of people to have a short but unforgettable rendezvous with one of sport's most revered pieces of hardware, courtesy of Dustin Brown, Ithaca native and captain of the National Hockey League champion Los Angeles Kings.
