Kings pay the price for the limits of the NHL's video replay rules (LA Times)
They give up a goal in a loss to Detroit on Saturday after puck goes out of bounds, is not detected by any of the game officials and caroms into the net off goalie Jonathan Quick's back. League officials say the play was not subject to a replay review.
A few days ago, Major League Baseball approved the expanded use of video replays next season. On Saturday, the limits of the NHL's current video replay rules became apparent — and painfully so for the Kings.
