The Kings will soon have 20 days to regroup and take a badly needed break from hockey — a relaxing one for those players who weren’t invited to play in the upcoming Winter Olympics.

After Monday’s 5-3 loss to the Chicago Blackhawks left the Kings with one win in their past 10 games, the break can’t come fast enough. They need it.

“I’m sure every team going into the break could say that,” Kings coach Darryl Sutter said. “We’re not special.”

That they aren’t.
