I don't know if I can bring myself to finish reading Angels & Demons. Here's a guy who is writing about stuff that would take tons of knowledge and research. He's got Illuminati, history, art, religion, and some damned complex science. Then his characters are being searched by the elite Swiss Guard, who is satisfied they are not a threat after listening for a dial tone on the woman's cell phone. A dial tone. On a cell phone. I don't think I can buy into the rest of the book.
Just finished "The Trigger" by Arthur C. Clarke and Michael Kube-McDowell.
-interesting examination of the dogma of firearms and what happens when a technology is discovered that renders nitrate based weapons useless and how the society is forced to deal with it. This is a socio-political drama wrapped in pseudo-science. I give it a 3.5 out of 5 rating.
Just finished Thomas Harlan's "Wasteland of Flint". Interesting premise but overall an average book. 2.5 out of 5
Bought Big Fish by Daniel Wallace. Always wanted to see the movie, so I figured the book had to be pretty good. It's an easy read and quite enjoyable book. Almost done and will either get back to Da Vinci Code or Siddhartha.
