Eduardo Sanchez Offers Update And Details on ‘The Blair Witch Project 3′ | /Film

It’s completely up to Lionsgate. Dan and I are ready to do it. We’ve been toying around with a sequel idea that we really like. It’s just a matter of getting our schedules in line and having Lionsgate sign off on the idea. We’ve been ready to do a ‘Blair Witch’ movie for a long time. We’re as close as we’ve ever been to making it happen but it’s still not a guaranteed thing.
I cannot for the life of me imagine why Lionsgate wouldn't want to move forward with this.

Maybe, 'cause everyone is still having nightmares over the Blair Witch 2 and not in a good way.

Yes... we need to do this. I don't WANT to see it, I NEED to see it. Tom Six may be one of the most interesting bastards to ever make a movie. This is going to be BRUTAL.

I dunno if this qualifies as HORROR, but it's close enough.

Trailer For Don Coscarelli's 'John Dies At The End' Starring Paul Giamatti

Starring Paul Giamatti, Doug Jones, Chase Williamson and Clancy Brown, the story centers around a street drug known as Soy Sauce that takes users on a pretty damn trippy headtrip, with a side effect that leaves some users inhuman. Believe it or not, this is actually based on a book, but either way, Coscarelli looks to be having a ball but if we had one minor quibble it’s that Giamatti is acting a whole other level making his less experienced co-stars look even more out of their depth.

Default - Official US trailer and release date for THE PACK

The Pack follows Charlotte (Emilie Dequenne), a beautiful but rough around the edges kind of girl, who drives a beat-up station wagon in the countryside of northern France. Her journey takes a turn when she picks up a mysterious hitchhiker (Benjamine Biolay), with whom she strikes an unusual bond. Stopping at a roadside diner, her new companion strangely disappears, and Charlotte finds herself knocked unconscious and held captive. She soon encounters a peculiar and disturbed woman (Yolande Moreau), and discovers that her blood is being used to feed a “pack” of flesh-eating ghouls.
I know I've seen this mentioned before, but what's the buzz on this?

Hmmm. - French horror THE PACK: R2 DVD Review

The Pack tips its blood soaked hat to the many components of modern horror, but outstays its welcome in none of them. What it lacks in terror, suspense and horror, it makes up for in foreboding tone, absurd humour, compelling performances and disturbing visuals. It’s easy to see why some people might come away disappointed, but The Pack remains a curiously compelling experience all the same. The results are uneven but entertaining none the less, and the new wave of French horror continues to impress with its uncompromising style and offbeat sensibilities.

    McBASTARD'S MAUSOLEUM: Blu-ray Review: SUBSPECIES 20th Anniversary Edition (1991)

VERDICT: Anders Hove's Radu is a fantastically vile and memorable vampire creation and SUBSPECIES get a high recommend from me, it's definitely one of the better and sorely underrated 90's vampire films. While the Blu-ray isn't all that it should have been it is presented in 16x9 widescreen for the first time and is by far the best the film has ever looked on any home video format.
Anybody seen this? It sounds pretty awesome.

‘Paranormal Activity 3′ Review – Huge on Scares, Light on Mythology [Fantastic Fest 2011] | /Film

If you like being scared and you like Paranormal Activity, you’ll like this third installment. It’s not as logical as the first one or as cleverly structured as the second. Plus it doesn’t advance the core story enough to feel particularly significant. It will, however, make you jump out of your seat and grab the person next to you for an extended period of time. That’s good enough.
Yes, I do like these movies. What's it to ya?

'True Blood's Stephen Moyer takes on Jersey Devil - Entertainment News, EXCLUSIVE, Media - Variety

"True Blood" star Stephen Moyer is sticking with the genre that made him famous, having signed on to topline Darren Lynn Bousman's "The Barrens," which concerns the legend of the Jersey Devil.

Moyer will play a man who takes his family on a camping trip to the more than 1 million acres of dense forest known as the New Jersey Pine Barrens, where he becomes convinced they're being stalked by the legendary winged monster that looks like a deformed hybrid of several different animals.

The legend of The Jersey Devil has been passed along for hundreds of years, as the creature has risen from obscurity to take its place alongside the Loch Ness Monster, Big Foot and the Chupacabra. The creature is deeply rooted in New Jersey culture; the NHL team takes its name from the creature and Bruce Springsteen put his own spin on the legend in "A Night With The Jersey Devil."
