AMC Calls Robert Kirkman ‘Opportunistic’ After He Sues The Network Over ‘The Walking Dead’ Profits
    http://uproxx.com/tv/amc-robert-kirk...-walking-dead/

Would not be surprised if the end result of this is an announcement that Walking Dead will limp towards a conclusion by 2020.

    PREACHER IS ****ING PERFECT.

That first season...so few reasons to be optimistic. **** all that now. If you gave up...COME ON BACK. They have managed in 2 episodes(haven't watched the third yet) to get it ALLLLLLLLLLLLL right. Now...it isn't EXACTLY the comic. But damned if it isn't close enough to actually bring chills and tears of joy. Serious guys...get back to watching this. Think of that first season as a pilot. Cause it bears almost no resemblance to what came before. I know I can wax fanboy, but if you knew what high regard I hold the source material in...this is no faint praise. PLEASE PLEASE WATCH!!!!!!
Well, that seems like a lifetime ago.

In the episodes since, Preacher has once again matured into a Festival of Frustration. For all the good, (and let's face it...Herr Starr is straight off the page and literally could not be better), there are continuous bad decisions and wheel spinning that kill any of the madcap energy that the source material was built on. I think the biggest problem is that the tv versions of Jesse/Tulip disappoint on so many levels. First off, the comic was predicated on their unspoken love for each other. Yes, it was mired in frustration, in a sort of Ricky and Lucy kind of way...but you never questioned it. On the show, Jesse is a petulant child. Sulky and pouty. And Tulip...ugh. Bad accent, and just a harridan. No depth whatsoever. She hates herself so much, how can ANYONE feel anything for her. In the comics...Jesse was the last of the Cowboys. Stoic. Stern. Cocky. And, most of all, a HERO. And granted, Tulip was a bit, underdeveloped, in the comics...but you understood.
Cassidy continues to be the glue...but relegated to comic relief, he is far too unimportant so far. The Dennis storyline was clever at first and now has just dragged.
I want so badly to like this show. But the Humperdoo reveal came far too early and is of little consequence. I am hopeful for the L'angelle development, but so much damage has been done already that I would not mind if this went away. At least maybe somewhere down the line, someone else could take another shot at it.
Such a tremendous disappointment, especially in light of the rare occasion when they capture the right tone.

‘Preacher’ Hits ‘The End Of The Road’ In The Finale Of A Frustrating Second Season
    http://uproxx.com/sepinwall/preacher...e-road-review/

There are times — usually in the episodes Rogen and Goldberg direct — when Preacher seems juuuuuuust on the verge of figuring itself out. But those always turn out to be teases, just like all of Tulip and Cassidy’s talk of going to Bimini. If the show comes back and somehow finally gets on track, it wouldn’t be the first series (genre or otherwise) to need a while to do so, but my hope-watching of it is just about spent. For now, it is what it is: a stylish show that’s occasionally very entertaining, but too often a big idea in search of many little ideas to support itself.
Oh Preacher, why must you be so damned frustrating. First 2 episodes were great as well as the last 2, but them 8 in the middle. Come on...you are sooooo close. Especially with that stinger at the end. But if you stumble on Jody and T.C. I am OUT. You hear me...O-U-T!!!!!!

The end payout was not worth the struggle to get through the season at all
