I'm glad I was able to watch it last night. Excellent episode! It also gave me gooseumps hearing Daenerys speak in Valyrian and watch her unleash the soldiers and her dragon. I knew it was coming, but damn it was awesome!

I also loved the subtle yet prevailing smirk her guardian guy gave once he figured out what she was doing..

For those of you who don't want to work through the rough spellings...Dany=Danerys and Mags=Margaraey(I think thats the right spelling ucsdguy1)
How great is the Spider? And Grandmama. That was one of my fave scenes in an episode filled with good stuff. And Nasti, the story is actually being told at an accelerated pace in comparison to the books. So much so for some characters that the writers are going to catch up to Martin a lot quicker than originally expected.
I know they filled the ranks of the unsullied w/cgi, wgich was not terribly obvious. For the first time so far I actually felt like maybe Dany's story isn't going to have to get terribly scaled down. Not spoilery I think, but her story has a LOT of large scale crowd issues. When they first reached the walls of Qarth last season I saw the small army arranged outside and thought that they were going to go with that as the scale. They upped things last night. And the Dragons still did not look SyFy bad.

The Dragons look awesome. Anybody complaining about the Dragons is a nitpicking nudnik.

Sorry, I may have been unclear, I thought the dragons were terrific. I keep expecting worse. The scene where the army marches out, and they were flying above, reminded me of an old Harryhausen Sinbad movie. And praise from me don't get much higher than that.

I usually have that problem when there are like, two characters on a show with names like "Bob" and "Jim." This show is my nightmare. I can barely understand half the comments in this thread.

It's this: I come to you because I want to rob a bank and you have a gun I want to buy. You only have the one gun. We're in your house with a bunch of nice stuff in it. We make the deal - your gun for my trained attack pit bull. You hand me the gun. We are still in the house with a bunch of nice stuff - except now I have a loaded gun and my trained attack dog, who is looking at you funny, and you have a leash in your hand. I think you having a major problem is a pretty predictable outcome. This guy was presumably a shrewd trader, and him being completely oblivious to what at least could happen seemed like a forced storyline.
