Default The Official Angels 2013-2014 Offseason Thread

This is the official 2013-2014 (going for three offseason championships in a row) Angels offseason thread.

Will the belts tighten, or will Arte make it rain again?

Angels won't make qualifying offer to Jason Vargas.

Angels unlikely to make Jason Vargas a qualifying offer; to pursue pitching via trade - latimes.com

Looks like instead of the big signing, this season we might see the big trade. Good to see the focus this offseason will be on pitching, pitching, and more pitching.

I'll believe it when I see it. Good pitching is hard to come by these days.

Pujols and Hamiltion will have to get their **** together eventually... right? When that happens, I think we'll be good to go.

LGK is the only place for real die-hard fans. If you're not here, you're not a die-hard. That's how I see it!

GM meetings start this week. Angels asking for pitching, and the price for a team asking for Trumbomb will be high.

Angels are one of the teams interested in hasbeen Brian McCann.

I was going to post a link to the news, but I found this really great commentary piece on Yahoo about this potential signing. Really nailed it on the head, and I love the opening to this commentary too.

The last few years have seen the Los Angeles Angels become that hopeless friend.

You can't say that Cabrera didn't deserve it though.
