    Listen: Theremin Studio Sessions For Bernard Herrmann's Score For 'The Day The Earth Stood Still'|The Playlist

    The power of the interwebs has unearthed a six minute studio recording session focused solely on the aforementioned instrument. Dr. Samuel Hoffman and Paul Shure played the two electric theremins used on the soundtrack (it's not clear) who was playing here, with the rest of the music rounded out by organs, vibraphones, glockenspiels, pianos, harps, trumpets, trombones, tubas and various percussion instruments.

    Lakeshore Records to Release Soundtrack Albums for NBC’s ‘Hannibal’ | Film Music Reporter

    Lakeshore Records will release a number of soundtrack albums for the critically acclaimed NBC series Hannibal. The albums will feature the show’s original music composed by Brian Reitzell (30 Days of Night, Friday Night Lights, Stranger Than Fiction, Boss). Music from both seasons of the series will be featured on the albums, which are set to be released on September 2, 2014.
    Two volumes for each show. Wow.
