OK, so summer is slow. This is a topic I wanted to share/address for a while. While watching cooking shows, there has got to be some other foodies on here who once in a while yell at the screen; whehter it be doing something wrong, mispronouncing an ingredient or history of a dish, whatever. I have many annoyances but will start with these few:
People who go "MMmmmmm" before the fork/spoon even hit their mouth. Professional "YES" people?
One more is Rick Bayless rincing off his roasted peppers to get rid of stray seeds or skin. This takes away a lot of grilled flavor, might as well nuke the darn things. (IMHO)
Steven Raichlin and almost anything he does. Looks like he read something in a magazine and with all the wasted charcoal going off in the background for ambiance, tries to play it off as a BBQ expert...what a hack.
This thread might flop but hey, at least I tried to give us all something else to bitch about.
