And this story would not exist if the parents had lived in Iceland.

Exactly what some of the comments said, her cursive is a megladon better than mine and when I would write notes in my pocket notebook from victim's statements I could hardly read them after just after.......

We are the Samurai, the warrior elite who protect and serve. Armed and armored from head to toe, masters of our personal weapons and bound by Honor, Duty, Loyalty, and Honesty. We walk the long path into the places society would prefer forgotten, and chase those demons that most would run from screaming in fear. We are the Samurai.

I don't know, getting through 25 years of being a cop and not ending up having a freeway interchange named after you can be consider an accomplishment.

What they failed to mention in the article, the jump yesterday was to commemorate the June 5th. 1944 jump into France by the O.S.S., who after WWII became known as the C.I.A. They were the pathfinders that transmitted the radio signals for the gliders and jumpers the next day to hone in on for their jump 75 years ago today.
Notice the mans age. He is among the youngest in age of our fathers, uncles, grand fathers and great grand fathers that are still alive that jumped behind the beaches of Normandy and the men that where clawing their way off the beaches 75 years ago today. They are called our greatest generation but it wasn't just them, the men and women that were at home, manning the factories, farms, sacrificing all for one common goal, to defeat National Socialism, are hero's too.
They were just starting to climb their way out of the devastation of the Great Depression so for most, doing without and sacrificing all was second nature to them.
If you have relatives or neighbors that are still alive of this generation, take a moment to pray for them and personally thank them.
If you have a few extra dollars, think about donating to your local chapter of Honor Flights, or possibly signing up to be an escort back to Washington for a Veteran to visit the WWII memorial. The experience will fill your heart and the stories these men and women will tell will be an education they don't teach in schools.
For the last month or so, a radio show heard nation wide called Home Town Hero's has been doing interviews with some of these men and women and is worth a listen to. It is available on pod cast and is always well worth the listen.
    Thanks for your time.

Ariz. LEO saves suicidal man on bridge by offering a hug

CHANDLER, Ariz. — An officer saved a suicidal man’s life Wednesday by offering him a hug.
According to Fox News, Officer Aaron Little saw a 26-year-old suicidal man climb the railing on a pedestrian bridge with the intent to jump.

In body camera footage, Little is seen talking to the man, asking him to walk towards him.

"I'll hug you, man. I don't care. I just want to talk to you. I swear," Little says.
The officer was able to convince the man to climb back to safety and embrace him.
Listen to the video, I don't know if I would be able to the same but good on Officer Little for saving this man's life.
