Its that time again...Share Your True Ghost Stories
Here are the two I have that are totally true.
As kids my parents had friends in Orange Hills off of Chapman. They told about how they had a ghost that would turn faucets and lights on and off. One night all of us kids were in their family room watching TV. They had a big floor lamp for lighting and even though all of us kids were sitting on the carpet and the couches a shadow of a man walking in front of the lamp and the shadow moving left to right....just like the same shadow you would see as if someone was walking in front of a lamp. But there was no one there....shadow but no body.
More recently, I was living in a Condo in Lake Forest and used to always see things out of the corner of my eye and one time caught an orb in a picture. One morning I got up and went downstairs to use the downstairs bathroom and start the day. Im an early riser so typically am the first one up. Anyhow, im sitting on the toilet and hear foot steps come down the stairs. I think its just my wife who for whatever reason got up before her normal rise time. So I hear the footsteps come down and some movement in the living room and then footsteps on the kitchen floor. But as Im listening I start realizing the footsteps on the kitchen floor sound just like a woman in heels clicking and clacking as they walk. So I start thinking to myself its odd my wife would be up early and even stranger wearing heels in the morning. I finish my business and walk out to find no one there....go upstairs and both my wife and kids are still sleeping. I made no mention as I didnt want to scare her but after we moved I told her the story...she confided in me that when she was up late at night the TV would go on by itself and even when turned off she would hear electrical pops and occasional static burst through the speakers.
Feel free to share your stories. Here are some lists of rumored haunted locations....if you can confirm or deny any of these is part of our annual tradition as well.

I used to have a friend that lives in OC that I would hang out with and even go to his house for BBQs, I no longer can see him. :(

I live in a 1950's house with a gas floor heater connected to the old liquid mercury on/off switch.
About ten years ago we refinished the oak hardwood floors, disconnected the gas and doped the heater under the house.
The control box is gone and the wire is still in the wall.
For four or five years when it got cool I would hear that switch click on......

Well my cats have a habit of staring at spots on the wall or ceiling where there is nothing we can see. I keep telling my wife they are looking at the poltergiests sticking their heads through the wall watching us.

So, about 15 years ago, we were living in this house that needed repair. There were stories that someone had hung themselves from the tree up front. The landlord gave us the heads up, that she was trying to sell the duplex. She also mentioned she had problems, during the disclosures.
One day, my brother is making himself a meal in the kitchen. Behind the kitchen was the laundry room, then the door to the backyard. Suddenly I hear him say something like "HEY, WHO ARE YOU?" And, I heard hard foot steps, him taking a few running steps. I get up to go see what happened.... He is standing there all freaked out. He then tells me he saw someone from the corner of his eyes, standing in the doorway of the kitchen-laundry room. The guy then stepped behind the doorway into the laundry room. When my brother turned the corner, there was no one there, and the backdoor was closed. All in all, probably 3 steps from the stove to the doorway. From that doorway to the back door.... probably 20-25 feet.
On another day, my little sister (maybe 8 at the time) has a weird frozen look. I get her to snap out of it, and then she starts freaking out. She said there was a light in front of her, like inches from her face, and then it went up and dissapeared into the ceiling. She was freaking out, I believe her.
So, after a few months we moved out, to across the street. The people that moved in had a ton of stories of weird stuff happening. Their kids (about 10-12 years old) were scared to sleep in their rooms. One night, my brother wakes me up. Tells me come check this out. We go to the front window, he points across the street, and the swing they had in the front yard.... back and forth. back and forth. We stood there for several minutes, never stopped rocking. No one was on it, but it was rocking several feet. And that eerie squeaking sound, still get chills. He tells me the squeaking woke him up, and he had to look to see what it was. Next day we asked the neighbors, and they said "oh yea... that happens all the time." So the last story, before my parents moved out of that house.... the mom comes to my mom and asks, "so, have you guys heard any stories about someone possibly commiting suicide there?" My mom laughs, and say "yea, there are rumors that some old lady hung herself from that tree..." The lady almost passed out, and said "we just saw someone hanging from there last night...." She said she had never heard that story, but saw it. Then it dissapeared.
Btw, I am not making any of this up.

I'm gonna need the address to the Lake Forest condo. I'm considering moving to that area when I can sell my current place, and I'd really prefer not to buy a haunted condo!
