    I switched to Windows 10, with a Windows 7 shell. I always update security. I never do other updates because I don't use the computer for anything more than web surfing.

    A couple of days ago Microsoft changed my normal 'shut down' to 'shut down with updates'. I didn't think to 'hibernate', so I clicked the choice forcing updates on me.

    What a mess. Somehow I limped into system restore, and followed with disk cleanup. I'm okay now, but my computer guy says they will force updates on me after a certain time period.

    btw I have always selected that I be notified of updates. This did no good.

    My only beef with Linux is the lack of Blu-Ray accessibility... I tried the most common way and some Blu Ray discs work...but most don't...

    I hate to say I still have a Windows computer that's only used for this purpose (cheaper than buying a Blu-Ray player) built from rejects from my last build...
