TB made it in 11 years.
    Ana took 14.
    That's it.
    I'd set the over/under at 2040.
I'm 47, and I doubt the LVGKs win a Cup in my lifetime.
I think it is attainable, if they are built right. Five year plans are successful for building a team if proper asset management and solid scouting are performed. It should also be noted that Florida made the finals in 1996. The Wild also made the conference finals in 2003. Don't get me wrong, I think 2022 is very ambitious, but it is not so ambitious that it is crazy.

Well, you forgot the Flyers in, what, 7 years (1967-1874? Islanders in 8 years(1973-1980)? I agree I don't think LV can do it but still....

Ah yes, who could forget the great Stanley Cup win of 1874? They were still called the Flyers at the time, but then it referred to birds as manmade flight had yet to be invented. I seem to recall a young player by the name of Philip Thistlebottom getting his wooden teeth knocked out in a jarring brawl.

They are called the 'Vegas Golden Knights' because 'Las' will be too easily misconstrued for 'Loss' in the early years. I bet (no pun intended) that that had something to do with it.

This post didnt exist IF the Panthers had won it in 1996.

The owner said "it's because everyone calls it 'Vegas'...."
Except the locals - who are miffed.

Not so fast with the team name.

If they are forced to change it, perhaps they can add "Las" to appease the locals.

Default Las Vegas Golden Knights - 2022

In this day and age, I'm not sure there are any monikers left for them to choose from, that aren't already spoken for somewhere, in some league/faction/collective/association.

That being said, the 'Golden Knights' seems a bit hoaky to me, and wouldn't mind seeing it changed.

Yeah, Bettman kinda rocked it, I must admit, with the comeback for the boos: "Now that you've booed me, you're officially an NHL city..." or something to that effect. :P
