    Default Life is not fair

Watching the KINGS games on tv is hard, we struggle to score A lousy goal every game while I switch to the Ducks game and they are scoring 6 or 7 goals per games... And everytime we take the lead we give up an equalizer 30 sec later....

Oh well when does Baseball starts ?

Thanks for the memories LA KINGS...Hate to see 2 former Kings compete for the cup (on the enemies teams) Jones/Bernier,yet we go home...Losing Martin Jones was a huge blow to this team...

I rather be like the ducks, make the playoffs every yr and choke, who cares If you come up short, atleast they are in the tournament ...

    1. The Ducks have been extremely boring on offense this year. They average 0.13 goals per game more than the Kings. Rank 20th in league on offense. But yeah, 6 or 7 per game sounds right.
    2. Life is plenty fair. You have free will. Go be a Ducks fan.

Ah, memories. It seems like only 20 years ago I found this team and quickly realized that, while it's an extremely fun game to watch, they suck. A mere 15 years later, they did what I had become to consider was unthinkable. Then they did it again. I wept. Both times.

I treasure those memories as privileged times, not anything that was ever owed or obliged to me. Life isn't fair - it doesn't owe you **** - but it doesn't take a few rough seasons to realize that. There's plenty else to remind us all of that.

It sure would be a whole lot more unfair as a Ducks fan, though. Thank god I'm not one.

You're right. Life isn't fair. The Colorado Avalanche fans got a cup in their FIRST season. Dallas got their cup in their SIXTH season (at least in Dallas). Carolina? 9 years? Meanwhile, the Kings had to wait 45 years. Blues fans are still waiting. And this is just in the realm of the NHL.

No, it is not. Welcome to life, and welcome to being a sports fan.

However, regarding the Kings' players, management, and the coaches, they are getting what they deserve.
    And that is absolutely fair.

    Correct.

Refusal to continue to get better as a player? Check Too many to name
Refusal to cut ties with players? Check DL
Refusal to adapt to the new NHL? Check DS

When you refuse to see reality and keep doing the same things that no longer work...

Is there anything more fair, the Kings are getting exactly what is fair and deserved...they kept and or traded or let walk the wrong players. The coach wont adjust, and the players that got paid stopped producing because they have no urgency, they got their cups and their money and they are playing in retirement mode. All except Carter who I think really should be wearing the C. With Lewis, Pearson, and Martinez with the A.

Kopi should have been traded, and I love Quick, but trading Jones instead of JQ was bad asset management. Not buying out Richards, well what do you say there? So many mistakes. You can just make mistake after mistake and expect it not to bite you at some point. DL made some great moves to bring the cup, and some awful moves to close the window way before it should have been done.
