Adrian Kempe, on his third period goal:
It was a big goal and a great feeling. It was a tight, tight game and we were up one-nothing so I mean, it was great to have the goal and a good feeling for me too.
Kempe, on crashing the net in the first period:
I think we started pretty good and I think I had a good first period. My second wasn’t as good as my first so I just tried to go back to play my game and pick up my speed a little bit in the third and I think I took advantage of that and yeah, as I said, it was a big goal.
Kempe, on whether he feels like he’s been able to show more of his game and speed lately:
Yeah. I like the have the puck in the middle and I think in the third period I got some room to skate and try to take advantage of their D-men and yeah, we got a goal, so that’s good.
Jarome Iginla, on the game overall:
The first period was a really good period for us. We had good chances, good shots. At that point you just want to not let them hang around. And they started pushing back a bit in the second and made it a little bit closer but it was nice to start the third. Brownie had a rush there, created it, we feed out front and then Kopi got it and I was trying to get open for him, it was a great pass and it was sure nice to see that go by him there.
Dustin Brown, on the game being scoreless for the majority:
We were generating a lot of good looks, a lot of traffic around the net. Everyone’s concerned about our goal scoring but we gotta stick with it and we found a way to break through.
Brown, on going 4-2-1 on the homestand but losing ground in the playoff race:
It’s that time of year, right? You just gotta find ways to grind points away. We got two tonight, have a day and then get ready to go again.
Brown, on how the team avoids getting frustrating while outshooting an opponent but not scoring:
I think it’s important for guys in the room, guys on the bench just to kind help each other out, stay positive. Stick with the program and just try to, I mean sometimes it’s hard but collectively you got to have a good mindset. If you’re doing the right things and you’re working the right way, good things will happen. I think that showed in the third.
Brown, on his two assist performance:
You always want to score points. [Reporter: 500th though?] Ah, yeah. When you get to play with Kopi for ten years, you better get to five hundred.
