i'm with you. While I may be very angry with the players, coaches and MGMT of the team, they are still my team since 1989.
Same here. Fan since 84. Granted I was only in 2nd grade so I didn't know the players but I loved the Kings because I loved hockey. Seen a lot over all these years. I will still never forget that insane comeback against Detroit in the playoffs during the Palffy years. Which reminds me. I miss see some exciting hockey. Every night Palffy was on the ice, they were exciting to watch. I know they didn't bring any Cups but many teams don't either so at least I would like to see some exciting hockey. Now we have a team who is extremely boring and can't win.
At least our team has won 2 cups in our life time. There are sports teams who's fans have never seen a championship and may never will.
I feel like Benjamin Button as a kid when the playoffs would come around id already had myself prepared to say o well the kings never make it. I had that exact feeling during the 1st period and felt just fine turning off the game.
Congratulations to the following posters who correctly guessed no Dman would score a goal tonight:
I watched most of the first, drifted off in the second and mercifully didn't see the third. What else is there to say other than that McDavid kid is amazingly fast. Made Drew look like a pylon. Leon is going to be forever underrated playing on a squad with him but he's no slouch getting Maroon to 25 goals. At least we can watch the rest of the season old school, with no expectations whatsoever.
That was the best game ive watched all season......cause i didn't watch it and just read the GDT recap. No stress...no mess. Thanks all you partners in misery
Except that you missed seeing the amazing Conner McDavid. As long as skill like that is on display, I don't care how often it costs the Kings . . . well, unless it were to cost them a Cup . . . but that won't be for a while.
