    Default Hawks Broken Beyond Repair?

Bounced in the first round last year.

Completely dominated, humiliated, and swept by a wild card team this year.

By LGK logic, they need to fire and trade everyone and get more speed because they've been solved and they won't be competitive for at least the next five years.

    Right?

Blow it up. Blow it up. Blow it up.

3 goals. They changed jerseys with the Kings.

You think the Blackhawks situation over the last 3 seasons is pretty much analogous to the Kings'?
    I don't.

    Did you watch this series?

Forget comparing the last three seasons tit for tat.

Explain to me what makes the Blackhawks, who just ended their season with eight straight losses and got totally blown away by Nashville, more primed to compete for Stanley Cups in the next 3-5 years than the Kings.

I was so mad they got a goal last night. That DOUBLE MINOR for no blood was a gift.

Even worth that gift, the Hawks scored 3 more playoff goals than the Kings. They really got embarrassed. Two shutouts (should have been 3) and a blown 2- goal lead in the third period. There's no positive way to spin that mess.

The funny part is up here, nobody on my beer league teams was even concerned. They were just kinda "meh, aint got it this year"

I think they are all still on post cubs highs

The actual rule never says anything about blood being drawn. It is interesting how that is inferred though and has been the used as the rationale behind a double minor.

60.3; Double-minor Penalty - When a player or goalkeeper carries or holds any part of his stick above the shoulders of the opponent so that injury results, the Referee shall assess a double-minor penalty for all contact that causes injury, whether accidental or careless, in the opinion of the Referee.

Just glad I don't have to hear about how "best in the league" and "a true dynasty" they are. Enjoy golfing, boys! The Kings already made reservations for ya!

They should follow the Kings lead, fire the front office, and make an undeserving former Blackhawk GM. Roenick, maybe?

It's looking that way! They are definitely not as physical as they once were. It looks like the skill players of the Black Hawks all ran out of gas toward the end of the season. We all know the playoffs is a different game. The Kings found that out last year only winning one game. The Black Hawks need to bring in some more heart, soul with a little skill type of players. Remember they traded those players away like Shaw and Saad.

The Kings couldn't even sniff the playoffs two out of the last three years. So yes the Black Hawks need to make changes, however they are not as far down as the Kings. The Kings might need a little more speed but they need players with heart and grit most of all.
