    Pretty impressive for a 17 year-old, tbh.

Mature kid, numbers exploded in year 3.. Looks like a great pick.. His goal celebrations are like Kane, just skates away from his teammates, couple pumps and then bear hugs lol

I love this pick. Kings are short on skill and character, and this kid oozes character but with speed and quickess. Nachbaur is known as emphasizing effort over skill, and JAD is a highly competitive player who tripled his point total from the previous season. Having that foundation, then with a new coach coming in, he could break out even further.

Agreed, this kid could really be something, he is, not sure if this is the right phrase, but maturing a little slowly when it comes to the physical side, but he is only 17. I see a boat load of potential there, sort of reminds me of Carter in some ways.

Vilardi, why he fell to 11 is anyone's guess.

Description reminds me of an in-shape Mike Richards, though I've never seen him play. Would be great if the Kings could replicate what they used to have. Big, physical center at the top with a smaller, competitive, two-way center as the number 2.

Fantastic article about an incredible young man. Watching him develop is going to be a lot of fun. What a great pick.

Mike Richards was his Hockey News "best case scenario" comparison.

If he follows this progress, you would hope he wound generate some WJC consideration, which is where guys like Richards really cemented their reputations.

Seriously. VO2 as a 16 year-old rookie and topped his team. The following year he was in the high 60s. Only two players hit 68.0 at the combine this year.

This kid had the benefit of having two hockey moms, who would hold that against him?

Love everything about this kid, from the interview to the VO2 to the fact that he's young for his cohort. And he eats organic, so he'll fit right into this town.
