    I voted Brandon Prust.

"Goon Squad, why would you dooooo that?!?!?!"

Because Robitaille and Blake acknowledged publicly the lack of toughness/character/proper response which became apparent with the "Tkachuk incident."
Then, they proceeded to do exactly nothing about it.

IF any of these guys makes the team, and they shouldn't, it will be the token statement of "oh, yeah, we wanted to address players taking liberties with our best guys."

... which is complete, total, and utter nonsense. Because Clifford, Nolan, and Andreoff will ALL be in the opening night lineup... and do nothing.

I have a feeling that at least one of those 3 wont be in the opening day roster. With Auger and Mersch both needing to go through waivers, the Kings likely don't want to let them go for nothing, so I wouldn't be surprised if Nolan or Andreoff got packaged.

Whether either of them address the "Tkachuk" issue remains to be seen. Auger might, remains to be see if he'll get the chance

    Auger is a horrible fighter!

I wouldn't be surprised if Clifford gets dealt before Anderoff and Nolan

You don't have to be good, just willing.

Cliffy would be in more demand, but Nolan is a lot cheaper

Anderoff tried last year, but the refs got in the way and saved Tkachuk. I always cringe and get nervous when Clifford drops the gloves.

It will be interesting to see how much rope Blake gives to guys who've been riding the loyalty train for the last 3 years.
He's going to have to find players who bring toughness into the lineup plus enough skill and speed to contribute.

The role of "grinding, possession-oriented, tough guy," who isn't good at fighting, driving possession, scoring, or preventing liberties from being taken, will soon be as obsolete as the enforcer.

Does signing with the Reign count? I'll see Prust in Ontario.

Laich, if anyone. He'd be willing and would be a worthy addition to Ontario due to experience and leadership qualities. Maybe he gets into shape and form during the regular season. So, not really the Kings, no, at least not at first. Loktionov, Lee can both get decent/good $$$ and playing time in KHL, so they would have to impress enough for the Kings roster which is less likely IMO.
