    1) Gaborik must be close to returning to the lineup, so mgmt might not have liked a roster with both he and Cammilleri dressed.

    2) MC has been a good PP specialist and one of many bottom six guys who are a defensive liability

    3) I hope MCs PP minutes go to Iafallo. Kid has 100% earned the spot.

    4) I think Stevens needs to come up with two game plans. One for his actual NHL players and one for the scrubs.

    5) Id like to see Gaborik slot in with Lewis and Shore when he returns.

    6) A fourth line of JJ and BL may be ok for 6-7 minuets a game in the regular season, if this team hopes to keep their position.

    7) No hard feelings about MC. Hes at a point in his career where you have to expect being traded and the Kings are a team whose roster is in flux. He showed up on the PP and wasnt lazy.

Gabby is coming back, and he's glass. They don't need Cammi out there when his [potential] linemate is fragile. JJ is better defensively, a bigger body, a bit of a pest, and...isn't he faster than Cammi? Not sure on the last one.

Anyway...I think this is more of a move to make the third line a bit more solid overall. Down the line...JJ/Carter/Gabbo might be a thing. Looks a little better than Cammi/Carter/Gabbo. At least on paper.

This is addition by subtraction. There was very little I enjoyed about watching Cammy 2.0. He'd shoot the second he was anywhere near the puck regardless of circumstance and seemed completely disinterested in playing any defense on most shifts. Have fun in Edmonton.

You know what is sweeter than kicking Cammalleri to the curb? Doing it TWICE. He's my all time least favorite King, and by a healthy margin.

And good on Blake, he gave him a go for old time sake, it didn't work out, and he cut bait without dilly dallying.

7 pts in 14 games is not too shabby...not sure how the counts as not working out?

My Guess- Gabbos coming back and going to get top 6 time, Cammi will be on the 3rd line with limited minutes, team figures if is he going to get bottom 6 time may as well upgrade to get a legit bottom 6 guy who they trust more defensively. Only downside-assuming Gaborik can stay healthy the rest of the season is a huge roll of the dice.

Gabby may be close but it would be helpful for the bottom line minutes to get Cliffy back

Had the Kings had JJ, they wouldn't had lost the last two games.
