Default So Net Neutrality was killed today.

And I have already noticed a difference.

I went on YouTube and looked up music vids that I looked up just a few days ago.

They are not coming up, lots of vids for major studios and major corporations come up instead.

    This totally sucks!!!!!

Edit: Ok my bad, now I feel dumb. One my of kids had put "restricted mode" or something like that on. I took it off and now they come up. Which is weird because the music vids I was looking up were pretty normal, no cussing or violence or anything.

I'm up for everyone discussing the technical ramifications.

The minute it starts to be about Politics, and this thread gets nuked.
at the draft party a couple of years ago, and under a considerable haze, i heard Birdman yell out the following (about 4 or 5 times, i think) - "don't marry yourselves to players!" he went on to reiterate that idea more than once on the boards, and i believe it to be absolutely sage.

Net Neutrality repeal is a big nothing burger. There are benefits to having it and benefits to not having it and most people won't notice a change.

Agree, but all it takes is one ISP CEO d-bag to ruin things.

It'll definitely happen. The question is.. who is going to be the first to do it and when?

LGK is the only place for real die-hard fans. If you're not here, you're not a die-hard. That's how I see it!

I don’t think there will be huge changes right at the outset. It will be a death of a million small cuts. A small price increase here, minor throttling of certain websites there, and, hey, we're coming out with a faster service that's much better than that one site that isn't so fast.

It reminds me of Comcast stating they have no plans with the NN changes but I bet in a few months after the hoopla dies down, they will suddenly have plans.

Some are speculating that ISPs might go the way of what Portugal is currently doing and making Internet bundles.

I've heard people complain about net neutrality and say that it's the ISP fault that they're the only provider but forget the fact that the government is the reason why they have the monopoly in the first place.

Anyone wonder why Google gave up Google Fiber so easily when Net Neutrality was put in place? It made it easy for them to profit as much as they can with little infrastructure. Before it was in place they used the idea of capitalism to try to change things but again good ole government told them they couldn't build there.
