    Have you guys lost your marbles?

    Jeff Carter is one of the best damned hockey players in the NHL.
    With modern medicine being what it is and how much money these players / teams / doctors make, I can't imagine that he sustained anything that would be a career-ender.
    Statistically If he WAS playing we'd have ~15 more team goals and potentially 4-6 more wins, put that in perspective for a minute. Even if he comes back at trade deadline, loses a step and products at 25% he's still one of the premier shooters in the NHL.

    I hope I'm right, to have someone like Jeff lose his career to a fluke would be tragic... super tragic...

    If Carts get traded it wont be at the deadline, it would be at next years draft. Kings are banking a lot on Carts picking up the team when he returns. Plus they will need to see how strong Vilardi plays in Kingston before doing anything with Carts. And that will take months.

    Meh......just have Blake start speaking somewhat openly about being open to trading Brown for darn near anything.

    ....wait about a month.

    Than have Luc walk into the locker room before a game at Staples, and walk up to Brown and say the following: "Brownie, we’re not f***ing trading you."

    Problems solved.

    The team has talked about having the pieces to contend, made some major shakeups in the offseason, and is reaping the rewards of those moves (i understand this is debatable). Why on earth would they trade Carter now? Baring a 1st round sweep, Carter will be here long term. besides, the first person to get sent packing should be Gaborik, not Carter.
