The only team this season that I've seen better at causing turnovers followed by a quick attack is Tampa Bay.

Vegas and Tampa epitomizes the "quick strike." It seems like the Kings are quite reluctant at times to strike...possibly fearful of turnovers per Sutter system or simply faster overall team has ability to strike and recover..possibly a combo of both?

I have given up all hope that the Kings will ever win The Super Bowl.

Just when I thought I had found a new hero, you rip it away from me. I guess Orpheus with his dolphin tank full of vodka still reigns supreme.

IMHO the reason Vegas is doing so well is because they are composed of a ton of B- to A- players that other teams wouldn't be able to afford due to FA or RFA contracts...ie; Marshaseau (spelling) Neal and Mac Andre Fleury in addition to picking up players cheap that are playing well above their expected potential ie; Houla and Karrlson. So in short, minus a long-term chemistry, they are bound together with skill that is definitely clicking.

At the end of the day, I do still believe they are a major threat because they have proven to be able to beat the top tier teams like LA, TBL, Hawks, STL and at the time of trending upwards, Leafs in tough stretches...so extrapolating, I believe they could beat a contender in best of 7 because ALL Teams scout Vegas, but you just can't stop SPEED and SKILL! Barring injuries and major drop off, Vegas (this season ONLY) is looking like the biggest Hockey Cinderella story of the century, since the 1980 Team USA feat vs Russia. Next year, I expect growing pains as I expect them to lose some key players to the cap, plus they have tons of draft picks coming into the system too.

My argument that VGK are not COLUMBUS of last year is due to the fact they are stacked full of B- to A- caliber players. Throughout their 4 lines they aren't playing at a C level. Columbus on the other hand had a tremendous drop off after the first 2 lines, much like the Kings.
Yeah, but I bet they wouldn't dare step on the ice against the likes of Ross "Mad Dog" Madison, Clarence "Screaming Buffalo" Swamptown, Andre "Poodle" Lussier, Gillmore Tuttle, Tim "Doctor Hook" McCracken, and Ogie Oglithorpe.

If you want a bold prediction go watch WJC and Rasmus Dahlin. There is a good chance he is going to be better than Doughty and Karlsson. Might end up being the best player in the league.
